Hi everyone!
Many of you have noticed that the ongoing development on the current release have slowed down significantly. The reason for this is simple: the next release will not be a TBG release, but rebranded, updated and refactored - in short, an entirely new experience.
There have been many people involved in TBG from the early beginning in 2002. We've come a long way since then, but at the moment the active community around TBG is dwindling, even though the user base is not. To fix this, it's been decided to take a step back and review the entire system with a focus on user experience, stability and feature set. In addition to this, we want to take TBG back to its roots, so to speak: being a top-notch open source issue tracker and project management tool. This is a call for help: If you want to be part of this journey, feel free to reach out. Whether you want to write docs, triage bugs, be a part of the community, suggest and review ideas, develop or code review - there's room for you and we want you.
The next step in this journey is located in our new repository: https://github.com/pachno/pachno - at the moment, it's an ongoing development version nowhere near ready for release, but we'll keep you updated on how things are going. We're also looking for logo designers, so if you want to see your work as the brand identity of an open source project, please let me know!
In the meantime the current version of TBG will continue to be supported and updated with bugfixes and security fixes, but there won't be a new feature release. We haven't let you down since 2002 and we're not about to start.
Let the journey begin.
